What’s your Money Cap?

Abundance has been on my mind a lot lately, and as I was thinking about it, I thought about the steps I’ve taken to grow from one money bracket to the next.  I remember, in college, when $12 an hour was a lot, and my first job post-college, when $30,000 gave me that “Woohoo!”

This got me to thinking about how we tend to cap ourselves around money.  We set these invisible limits for ourselves, whether it’s $50K, six figures or even bigger than that, and can stop ourselves from the true abundance we’re meant to have.

If the Universe wants me to have a 7-8-9-10-figure income (or even more!), who am I to say no to that?!

You’ll know if you have a money block, if you have some set amount in your mind that you want to make and never have thought about going larger than that.  Or, you think about going larger, but dismiss it and think it’s not possible.

When this does happen, what do we do with this?  How do we start to take the blocks off of our money limits and step into true abundance?

1.  Become aware.
The first piece to changing this is becoming aware.  Noticing that you have a story around how much you can make is the first key to changing it.

2.  Choose more.
The second piece to changing this is choosing bigger.  For me, this includes an income goal (which is a stretch, yet realistic) and a bigger income goal (which is a bigger stretch, yet still possible).  Then, when I think about how much I’m going to make this year, I always put out there (i.e. – choose) the second, bigger number and I really step into the belief that this is going to happen for me.  This part is key.

3.  Let go.
Also, important to note, is that I let go of how I’m going to get to that number.  The Universe has far bigger plans for me than I could ever imagine.  All I need to do is step into the energy of trust and relaxed expectation, going into the feeling now of what it’ll be like to achieve that and The Universe will take care of the rest.  Pretty cool, right?!
