We have to believe we are magic

This past week I had the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream I didn’t even realize I had.

You see when I was growing up I was a huge Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta fan. From Grease to Two-of-a-Kind to everything in between, I watched, sang and danced with them and, with that, stepped into the world of magic, miracles and more.

You see, when I watched and listened to them:
I believed in the power of love. I believed that things would work out. I believed in the happy ending.

And, I hadn’t fully realized the impact of this experience on my life until about a month and half ago when I was at the end of a class and Olivia Newton-John’s song, We Have to Believe We Are Magic, came on and I full-on started crying.

It was then that the sweetness of those memories came flooding back to me, and I tapped into the child within me that knew anything was possible and that I deserved a life full of signing, dancing and happy endings.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, when I was arriving into Las Vegas to see my family and there she was, singing on the big screen at the airport, as she had just started a show here. At that moment, I knew this was no coincidence, this was a divinely-orchestrated event just for me and that I had to see her.

On January 1st, I did just that. And, with that, I returned to the magic, excitement and childlike innocence that once permeated my world regularly, a world that I am returning to as an adult.

It was the perfect start to my year and beautiful reminder of the feelings and energy I want to carry through this next year (and lifetime!).

And, I bring this up for two reasons:

1) To remind you that every event that’s happening is especially designed for you, if you choose to believe so and act accordingly.

2) To take you back to that child who believed in play, magic and that anything was possible.

What’s one thing you can do to bring more play, innocence and magic into your world? Comment below.

We are magic!

  1. Beautiful post Deb! Thanks to your session..I’ve been remembering all that I loved about me as a child and it’s been delicious. I used to lip sync and dance to every song on the Grease album! And my family lives in Vegas too. So much in common 🙂

    1. So love to hear this!! Tapping into our inner child is such a powerful way to return to our power and truth. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you!
