How Our Patterns and Energy Impacted the US Election and Your Responsibility Moving Forward

I’m desiring to respond to everything that’s happened in the last week, and yet I’ve been struggling to respond at the same time. While I tend to stay away from politics, I’ve seen so many posts, articles and physical and verbal actions hurting each other and making each other wrong, I feel a pull to come forward. With that, my desire with this article, through talking about the patterns and energy, is to bring light, connection, hope and awareness, not further separation from each other.

So, first of all, I want to say, we’re all in this together.

Even if I don’t know you, I feel our connection and the connection we have to humankind. I see your heart. I’ve felt your pain. I understand you. I feel our patterns and energy. And, even if you’re different from me, I see myself in you and you in me. And, you have every right to feel whatever you’re feeling at the moment.

This article is really for when you’re ready to take a stand for yourself, your life, our country and humanity. As part of this, as a light worker, I will be sharing some truths that have unfolded since last week, in the hopes that we can all begin to move forward together as one. Some of these truths may seem “out there” or far-fetched, but where we’re going right now is for sure not working, and I’ve seen how living from these principles in my daily life have created a life of love, light and empowerment, no matter what’s happening in the world.

So, first of all, whether you wanted Trump to win or not, given that it happened, it’s for the highest good of our planet. I know that this may be hard for many of us to comprehend, but Trump being elected President, is bringing the shadow (of hatred, racism/sexism and bullying, to name a few) into the light. If we can’t see it, we can’t change it. Every thing that’s happening on the planet right now is leading us to more love. EVERY SINGLE THING. And we have a choice right now. We can choose to get to this place slowly and continue the pain that is occurring or get to it quicker and move into more love now. It’s up to you.

And, as part of that, the energies and patterns that were prevalent before the outcome of the election were definitely a strong indicator that Trump could be elected.

Let me explain.

First of all, Hilary had a pattern of finishing second and being chosen second best. (Just look at the outcome of the 2008 Democratic Primaries, though, whether in her career or personal life, I’m sensing this wasn’t the first time this happened for her.) On the other hand, whether you like the man or not, look at Trump’s “win” success rate. Whether he wins or not, he has the energy running through him of a winner. You don’t need to know him to know this about him.

Taken one step further, during this election time, many lower energies were prevalent from both sides, including, to name a few – fear, worry, hate and doubt. And, given that a Democrat was already in The White House, the Democrats had more to lose with these energies being put out into the world.

And, it is when we put out these heavier, lower energies that we step out of our power and truth.

So, what is our power and truth?

We get more of what we put out in the world.

We are powerful beings who create our reality.

We are the only ones in charge of own individual reality. Not your partner, your boss or the President can create your world, unless you believe this to be true.

We are all light, even though, many times, we forget this deep truth. (The lower level energies that have come forth in this election are not our truth, and more importantly, no matter the outcome of the election, as a population, where would we be right now if we kept our focus on our true truth and higher energies like light, love, gratitude and peace?)

So, given the above, what is our responsibility moving forward and how do we change what’s happening in the world right now? (After all, whether you voted for or against Trump, as a human being, I’m thinking, and really, hoping, that seeing what’s happening in the world right now, and the way fellow human beings are treating each other is eye-opening and, maybe even, empowering you to take a stand for more – more kindness, connection and love.)

How do we do this?

1. Honor our differences.

Differences can bring separation or deeper connection. We always have a choice, and now, more than ever, the world needs more kindness, to be held tighter and loved more. Even when it’s hard, even when it seems impossible and even when we’d rather be right, each one of us has a responsibility to show up in love. In general, we’re all just doing the best we can and the best we know how, until we can do better. Before you criticize, judge or attack, can you see someone’s inner child that’s hurting and is just crying out for more love? Can you see yourself in another? Can you see someone from their heart? That’s where we begin.

2. See each person from their highest and best self.

As part of seeing the connection, we need to start to see the best in people, including Donald Trump. As I mentioned above, we create our reality. Do you really want to be creating a reality where minorities are getting harassed, people are getting beat up for their beliefs, and even further, where we could have more Race Wars like the 1960s or another Holocaust? I know I don’t. That’s why it’s so important that we stop projecting the worst onto people, which includes, expecting the worst. Start seeing them as the highest self that each one of us has been at various points in our lives and each one of us has the potential to be more of. Feel free to project this vision onto America as well. It definitely can’t hurt.

3. More positivity. Less negativity.

I know it can be easy to get sucked into the fear, anger and hate that are on the planet right now. And, I get, that everyone is just wanting to do their part to create a change. But, what can you do to create change from a more positive perspective? This doesn’t mean burying or sweeping what’s happening right now under the rug. This does mean, though, seeing the good in others, coming to someone’s defense from a space of love when someone is hurting another human being no matter whether you agree or disagree with their beliefs, and it does mean, when you’re taking a stand for what you believe in, doing it from peace. Plus, have you ever noticed that when you try to change someone’s mind or convince him or her that you’re right and they’re wrong, it’s like when you tell a teenager not to do something? It doesn’t work. Instead, model for them love, kindness and care and lend them a helping hand. They probably need it more than anyone. And, as hard as this may be to hear, this especially includes Donald Trump.

In any case, I want to leave you with some final thoughts. Fear, anger and hate may be what got us here, but it is not what is going to get us out. Our journey here on Earth is to learn how to love – ourselves, each other, our differences and the world. With that, what can you do to see yourself in another and find compassion and love even when they’re different from you or don’t have the same beliefs? What can you do to love yourself more and how do you take that out into the world for a better place? These are just a couple of the questions we came here to answer, with the reminder:

It’s when we can see from our hearts where our differences end and love begins.

Sending much love, light and hope to anyone who reads this. I know we all need it right now.
